Disclosure: As a brand ambassador for Wild River Country I received free admission into the park and I am being compensated for this post. However, all opinions are 100 percent mine.
My husband and I don’t get to go on as many dates as we would like too. But when we do get a chance to go out without our kids we want to be able to enjoy ourselves and have some fun. So, for our most recent date we choose to go to Wild River Country.
I know a lot of people think of Wild River Country as a place to take your kids to have fun and that’s certainly true. But it’s also a place where Mom and Dad can go without the kids for a day of fun and relaxation.
Before we even arrived at Wild River Country we knew that we wanted to explore some of the slides that we previously had not had a chance to ride when we were with our kids. So, when we got to the park we rented a locker and put our things away and headed straight to the Black Lighting and White Lighting water slides. We were ready to have some fun! And we found it with these slides fast and twisty slides.
Up next, we tried out the Pipeline, which is a roller coaster style water slide with lots of twists and turns. You can ride this slide all by yourself or with a partner. We choose to do it together in the double tube.
OMG!!! This slide made me want to scream…lol. But my husband LOVED it, he’s more adventurous than me.
After the Pipeline, the fun continued with the Wild River Rapids. This is a fun for all ages single tube ride.
After we had fun going down some of the slides at Wild River County, I was ready for things to slow down a bit. I was ready for some relaxation!!! Because to me Wild River Country can be just as relaxing as it is fun.
So I took a few minutes to lay in the sun to warm up a bit and to rest. Walking around Wild River Country and climbing all those stairs to get to the high slides can be quite a workout. But I was thankful for all the stairs, because it meant I could skip my “leg day” workout for that week. 🙂
If I had found a lounge chair in the shade I probably would have stayed laying in it a lot longer. While, Wild River Country has lots of lounge chairs in the shade. On busy days, it may be hard to find two or more lounge chairs next to each other in the shade. But don’t worry if you are coming to Wild River Country seeking shade and relaxation, you might be interested in renting a cabana. Each cabana comes with two lounge chairs, a table with four chairs, and a locking storage bench.
After, taking a few minutes to rest in lounge chairs. My husband and I opted to relax by floating in the Lazy River and then by floating in the Wave Pool. It was a nice way to end our date of fun and relaxation at Wild River Country.
The next time you are planning a date with your spouse don’t forget Wild River Country is the perfect date spot. It would also be a fun destination for a Girls’ Day Out or even a Mom’s Day Out too.
Wild River Country is open until Labor Day. However, with school starting in Central Arkansas it will only be open on weekdays through Friday, Aug. 10. After, this date Wild River Country will be open on weekends until the very last day of the 2018 season, Monday, September 3 (Labor Day).
