Thanks & Gratitude: Anniversaries, Cooking with Kids, & More

I’m thankful that I get the opportunity to choose happiness. Despite what is going on in the world there is so much good to be thankful for. And because of all the good, I am happy ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m thankful for family lunch anniversary dates.

I’m thankful that our family went to Big Rock Fun Park on Monday. We had a blast playing mini golf. driving go-carts, and getting wet on the bumper boats.

I’m thankful that my son is showing an interest in cooking. Recently, he has been finding lots of books with recipes at the end of the story at the library. He alsoย has been looking at my cookbooks almost daily. ย And visiting the PBS Kids website to look at the recipes found on the Fizzies’ Lunch Lab page. All of the recipes have inspired him to want to cook new and different foods. On Thursday we made these black bean burgers together ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m thankful for music that makes me feel good.

I’m thankful that Jane the Virgin Season 2 was added to Netflix. I finished watching season 2 and loved it. I can’t wait for season 3 to start this fall.

I’m thankful for fireworks and 4th of celebrations.

I’m thankful that Amazon had Kindle Fire’s on sale for $33.33 on Prime Day. I got one for my kids to share (yes…share ๐Ÿ™‚ I think it’s good for them to learn how to manage sharing items).

What are you thankful for this week?

I love The Jacksons and I love Jane the Virgin so much!
We have a park near our house with bumper boats and mini golf. Such fun, but no go-carts, sadly.

That was our first time trying out bumper boats and we really liked it.

I saw the kindle on sale too, but we have too many gadgets already. What a bargain! I’m thankful for knowing that I have a God who has my back. Thanks for sharing.

My kids and I had been sharing my tablet. So it’s been nice having an additional tablet that they can primarily share.

I love that you’re choosing to be happy and thankful! I wish we could all do that. I’m there with you, although, I cannot say I haven’t been a little down lately with all the chaos of our country/world.
We’ve been busy cooking over here too! Great minds!! I picked a few new cookbooks from the library and we’ve been testing in our test kitchen. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Wishing you and your sweet family a lovely week!

I’m glad that it seems like the chaos in the US isn’t as bad right now. I just wish that we as people could love to learn one another.
I love checking out cookbooks from the library. I even look at the cookbooks at bookstores, just so I can request them from the library ๐Ÿ™‚
