My Spring Sewing Plans
I didn’t sew all of the things that I wanted to make for winter, but since spring will be here in a few days. I thought it would be best to forget all about my winter projects and start on some spring sewing projects.

I’m currently working on a peplum top using Spring Sewing using a geometric blue and green stretch cotton fabric that I picked up on clearance at Jo-Ann. I always check the clearance fabric, because you can get nice fabric for 4 or 5 dollars a yard without a coupon. And sometimes you can catch the clearance at 50% off. Making these fabrics $2 and $2.50 a yard.
After I finish my peplum top, I want to start sewing a Trolls dress for my daughter. My daughter absolutely loves Poppy and the Trolls movie. So she had to have a Trolls dress made from Trolls fabric for spring. I plan on using view A of McCall’s M7077 pattern for this project.
I’m not sure what order I will sew the other projects I have planned for spring. However, I plan on sewing a shirt with some bold sleeves. I bought a few McCall’s patterns around President’s Day when they were on sale and one of them McCall’s M7542 has four options for shirts with bold sleeves. I’m thinking I’m going the use the following fabric and use view A of this pattern.
You know I have to sew myself at least one new dress for spring. My closet is lacking a nice sheath dress so I plan on making view D (like the yellow one on the pattern) of Vogue V9202, which is a Vogue Easy Options pattern. Using another fabric that I found on clearance at Jo-Ann. It’s a blue linen with white leaves. I’m hoping that it turns out nice.

I have the dramatic sleeves in my head for the spring season. I love the fabrics you picked. I cannot wait to see your finished products. Good luck!

I’m hoping I can finish up my shirt this week. I haven’t sewn any in the past two weeks, but it’s Spring Break here so I’m hoping to get some sewing time in.
I’m so excited to see all your projects!! I love peplum tops, a mama’s best friend. 🙂
XOXO
I still haven’t finished my shirt. I hadn’t had time to sew lately, but since it’s Spring Break I think I will have time to finish it up.
I’m looking to add hues of rose, blush, and coral to my wardrobe this spring. I’m loving all the prints for your upcoming sewing plans, especially for the peplum top! I can’t wait to see your results!
Those are such great colors for spring.
Love the peplum top and good fabric choice!
