Gratitude & Thanks: #SPBoxSwap, Family Time, & More

I’m thankful that Dean & Ashley hosted such a fun box swap. And I’m also thankful that my partner was so generous. If you haven’t seen all the goodies that Nicole from For the Love of Food sent me, then check out my #spboxswap post out by clicking here.

I’m so thankful for all of the wonderful programs and events that our local libraries put on for kids. Last week my kids pretended to venture to Italy and made bruschetta at one of our local libraries.

Then this weekend they attended an event all about video games at another one of our local libraries. They had a chance to play human Pac-man and human frogger. Along with playing actual video games that they love. I LOVE libraries.

I’m thankful for walks in the park with my family.

And for walks on pedestrian bridges overlooking the Arkansas River.

I’m thankful that my husband is a great father.

I’m thankful that I was able to sew a shirt for my friend’s birthday gift and that it turned out great.

I’m thankful that my son is learning to sew. He checked out a book for kids that shows they how to sew projects with a needle and he has been busy learning to sew. He has made a pin cushion (that red apple below), a needle book, and a toy mouse with felt and he has only been sewing for three days.

What are you thankful for?

    What a gorgeous bridge.
We’ve been having some nice walks lately with the strangely warm weather. In fact, I’m going to take Athena for a walk in a few minutes.
I’m thankful for amazing loved ones who keep my head on straight, when I rebel at every second, and think awful things about myself. Not cool.
And I’m thankful for blogging always.

I would love to play human frogger, now that would be fun. The shirt you made for you friend is really cute, it’s also really tiny. I’m thankful for my independence. It’s been 13 months since the tragic break up with my 6 year boyfriend. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m thrilled with my decision.

My kids loved jumping like a frog from space to space for the human frogger game 🙂 Thanks, about the shirt. It does look small, I was afraid that it wasn’t going to fit. So I had to try it on before I sent it and it fit me so I knew it would fit her too. I’m glad that you are thriving!!! Six years is a long time and I know it takes a lot of courage to change your life. Even if it’s something that you want and need to do. Familiarity is quite comforting when you only can think of what the unknown will hold. 🙂

Your sewing is going so good. Yes we have to support our libraries! I’m thankful for family and friends!

Thanks Robin!!! For what we pay in taxes the library is such a great asset for the community.

So many cute pictures, Sonya. I love that your son is learning to sew. What a great skill to have! You are raising him well :). I’m thankful my family is finally healed up from a nasty sickness that went through my entire household. Glad to see all is well with your beautiful family!
