I’m thankful that my kids have two great-grandparents that are alive and doing well.
I’m thankful that my kids got a chance to pick plums for the first time. We went to visit their great-grandfather earlier this week and some of the plums on his plum tree were ripe enough to pick. I’m glad they had a chance to experience plum picking. I remember being a kid and picking plums from my grandmother’s plum tree. I wish I had a chance to get pictures of them picking the plums, but I didn’t want to go back into the house to get my phone. Because I was afraid they might be finished picking the plums before I got back out to the tree since there wasn’t a whole lot of ripe plums.
I’m thankful for the ABC app and being able to watch Black-ish with my husband. Black-ish is hilarious and it’s just more fun watching it together.
I’m thankful that I get to attend a blogger event next week called Farm2Home that promotes Arkansas agriculture. We will have the opportunity to meet local farmers and learn about the crops that they grow.
I’m thankful that my son is attempting to grow spinach in some buckets this year.
I’m thankful that Summer Reading Club at the library starts next week 🙂
I’m thankful that my mom is enjoying the Shopkick app. She has been using it for about a month now and so far she has earned $15 in giftcards. The Shopkick app allows you to earn gift cards when you walk into retail and grocery stores. You also earn points from scanning items in the store. It’s a really easy way to earn gift cards for places like Target, Wal-Mart, Starbucks and more.
I’m thankful for clean water. I try to drink between 60 to 80 oz. of water every day and I’m thankful that it’s easy for me to get clean water out of my kitchen.
I’m thankful for easy opportunities to help others. I read a People magazine online article about Bill Gates’s mission to use chickens to help end poverty. The cool thing is that everyone can help out by taking a one question quiz and watching a video. When you answer the question right and watch a video Bill Gates will donate another flock of chickens to people living in poverty.
What are you thankful for this week?
