I’m thankful for quick thunderstorms that cool down these almost 100 degree days that we are having in central Arkansas.
I’m thankful that I have such a sweet son. He came over as I was writing this and started giving me some idea for new blog posts. He is becoming my content collaborator… 🙂 Earlier this week I blogged about the Summer Saute of Veggies that we made together. Before we made it he insisted that I blog about this recipe and pin a picture to Pinterest (which he loves to use to search for crafts).
I’m thankful for discovering new podcasts. Yesterday, I started listening to Kandidly Keshia hosted by Keshia Knight-Pulliam. You probably remember Keshia from when she played Rudy on the Cosby Show. Well, she has a really good weekly podcast. I really enjoyed listening to her episode about positive thinking. She discussed one of Louise Hay’s books and the power of affirmations.
I’m thankful for kids who enjoy learning. We went to Sam’s club this week and bought some new workbooks for both kids. My daughter is getting to the point where she really enjoys learning and looks forward to doing her lessons. I’m thankful that my son has been a great example for her because he also loves to learn.
I’m thankful for the days at the Museum of Discovery. Whenever we go the whole family has a great time and we all learn something new.
I’m thankful that I started a new devotional last month. It’s called Trusting God Day by Day by Joyce Meyer. I’m especially thankful for the messages about conquering fear.
I’m thankful for Michelle Obama’s carpool karaoke. I’m really going to miss having the Obamas in the White House next year. They have definitely been the most relatable first family in the White House during my lifetime. I love it that you can see how much they all love each other.
