Gratitude & Thanks: Kindness, Labor Day Sales, & More

I’m thankful that I’m finally sitting down to write this post πŸ™‚

I’m thankful that Dean from Mrs. AOK a Work in Progress and her children sent my children some of their Fancy Nancy books that they were no longer reading. Dean and her family are too kind.

I’m thankful it’s September, my birth month.

I’m thankful my mom is giving me a kid-free night for my birthday gift.

I’m thankful for early birthday treats. I ate about half of this brownie and half a coconut cookie and reached my sugar limit for the rest of the week.

I’m thankful that I got some fabric this weekend. JoAnn had 50% off the red tag fabrics. Plus, there was a coupon for an extra 25% off entire purchase.

I’m thankful for Pokemon Go. I don’t play, but my husband does. And he now wants to go for more walks which I love. Last weekend, we walked on the Arkansas River Trail while our kids rode their bikes.

I’m thankful that I finished sewing my first dress for myself. I even wore it to church today. I plan on blogging about it this week.

I’m thankful that I can now tackle making mommy-daughter dresses. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.

I’m thankful that two new cub scouts joined my son’s den. He was the lone person in his den for a few months last year. So I’m happy that he will get to work with some other boys this year.

I’m thankful for science experimentsΒ at the Museum of Discovery. My kiddos made slime with last week.

What are you thankful for this week?

Isn’t Dean the best? I love the fact that you can see and can’t wait to see you dress! Me and sewing just never got along. Its a skill I wish I had. Happy early birthday and hoping you have a blast on your birthday!

It already looks like fall there with those leaves! We already have leaves changing here. I can’t believe it.
    Your brownie looks AWESOME.
As for Dean sending you those books, I just adore her. What a nice story.

I know, it really looked like fall in that picture. Some of the trees are starting to turn colors and the leaves are falling off some of the already too. I can’t wait until more of the trees change color, it’s always so beautiful.
That brownie was good. I also had half of a cookie that I didn’t take a picture of that was really good too.

So many people make fun of Pokemon Go but I love it because it gets people outside that usually wouldn’t be outside. I also enjoyed the Joanne Fabric Sale for Labor Day, it was such a great sale, I wish it lasted forever πŸ™‚ I’m a regular reader of Mrs AOK I love her blog, that was so nice of her to send you books. I Love the blogging community.

We see so many people out playing when we out to the more popular parks in our area. And they are of all ages, we see entire families playing together. I think it’s really cool that it’s getting people out walking.
The JoAnn Labor Day sale was really good. They always have really good coupon offers and it’s good that you can use more than one coupon at a time.
Mrs. AOK is so sweet. My kids were so happy to get the Fancy Nancy books that she sent.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONTH!!! Happy to share September with wonderful company. πŸ™‚
I hope your babies enjoyed the books. πŸ™‚ Have they made any of the recipes? I know you have little chefs too.
Can I borrow your awesome mama? πŸ™‚

Thanks!!! You are great birthday month company πŸ™‚
My kiddos have been enjoying the books. We were actually, suppose to make make the ants on a log recipe for a birthday picnic. But then I was too tired on my birthday to go out for our picnic, because my husband and I had walked around on our date so much the night before. However, we still plan on going on a picnic when it cools down a bit more and we will make them then.
