Gratitude & Thanks: Hidden Figures, 99 cent Patterns, & More
I’m thankful that I saw the preview for Hidden Figures while watching the Olympics. I can’t wait to see this movie next year.
I’m thankful for Fancy Nancy books. Both of my kids like these books a lot right now because they are funny. And I like them because they are learning “fancy” words. π
I’m thankful for 99 cent patterns that are on sale at Hobby Lobby last week. Here is one of the patterns that I’ll be working on next.
I’m thankful for Super Soul TV. You can catch clips from Super Soul Sunday and even the latest full episode. I really this clip from Daniel Goleman on the negativity of daily news.
I’m thankful that today is Friday.
I’m thankful that my mom has helped me with my sewing projects. She helped save this dress for my daughter.
I’m thankful that my kids are helpful. We actually babysat my 2-year-old nephew and 10-month-old niece this week and my kiddos were such a big help.
I’m thankful that my oldest nephew will begin his freshman year of college on Monday. He was just one-year-oldΒ when I left for college and now he is 18 and going to college. My how these years have gone by.
I’m thankful for the Netflix series The Get Down. I watched it last week and it was really good. It’s set in New York City in the late 1970’s and it tells the story of how hip-hop was born.
What are you thankful for this week?

99 CENTS!! WOW!! That jumper… romper.. is too cute!!!
So, I started to read your post and read y’all love Fancy Nancy and thought we have some we don’t read anymore. Okay, I have a few hardcovers I’m saving, because I’m already planning on my granny library π
But we do have a few more, not as much as we use to, I donated them to the little library, but I do have a few… would your kiddos like them?
XO
Yeah…I wait for those 99 cent pattern sales. I bought six different patterns this time that I think will keep me sewing through the fall π
Dean you are so kind! My kids would love the Fancy Nancy books. I’ll email you my address. Thank you so much π
No problem! I’d rather the books get read than collect dust π
XOXO
That movie looks amazing, I also can’t wait for it to come out. You’re getting better and better at sewing Sonya! It must be excited to start mastering a craft. I am thankful for my focus and my freedom. I was dumped by my long-term boyfriend at the beginning of the year but I didn’t have the money, resources or ability to move. I’m so happy to say I moved a few weeks ago, and though it’s been very scary I feel so blessed and excited about my future.
You really have a knack for finding incredible patterns! I love that. I think we discussed Fancy Nancy on my blog and I’m excited for Scarlet to read them.
