Gratitude & Thanks: Fire Stations, Yoga, & More

I’m thankful for trips to fire stations. My son’s Cub Scout Pack had an outing where we visited our local fire station. This is our third time visiting a fire station and it’s always a lot of fun. This year the kids not only got inside of the fire truck, but they also got a chance to blow the horn which they all enjoyed. Plus I learned that I need to buy a new fire extinguisher. We have lived in our house for 12 years and the same fire extinguisher has hung from the wall the entire time. I never thought about when I should replace it until last week when we visited the fire station. When I asked one of the firemen how long often you should replace home extinguishers he said every year. Now I just need to remember to go to Walmart to buy a new one.

I’m thankful for family gatherings. My nephew graduated last weekend and we had a party for him which was a lot of fun. It’s always a good time when we get all of the cousins together.

I’m thankful for the Yoga Studio app that I downloaded this week. I’m loving the easy to follow classes that are available on the app.

I’m thankful for that I’ve finally planted some seeds in my garden box. I already have thyme growing in my box from seeds that I planted last year. This year I planted basil, cilantro, and lots cucumber seeds.

I’m thankful for cute Elephant & Piggie cutouts at Barnes & Noble.

I’m thankful for cool swings. This was my first time seeing a swing like this. It has a bucket seat swing and a regular swing combined so two people can swing together while facing each other. It was a lot of fun to swing in it.

What are you thankful for this week?

That swing is incredible! Awesome for siblings, or parent/child.
I think you know how much we love Elephant and Piggie. He’s up here so if you ever visit, you can meet Eric Carle AND Mo Willems at the Eric Carle Museum. They both hang out!

My kids would LOVE to meet Mo Willems. They would probably recite all of his pigeon books to him 🙂 My four year old especially loves just reciting the pigeon books at random times.

I had no idea you need to replace your fire extinguishers once a year thanks for the tip Sonya 🙂 . I’ve been doing Bikram yoga for the past 8 years but I want to get into other forms of yoga and that yoga app would help me do that. That swing is pretty cool, the kids looks so happy and cute… like always.

Great pictures! That swing looks so much fun and I’ve never seen one like that before. I will have to check out the yoga app and I had no idea about changing fire extinguishers yearly, I know mine is way past due.

I had no idea about the fire extinguishers either. The yoga app is great because there are 4, 10, 15, 30, and 60-minute options available at different levels of difficulty.
