Gratitude & Thanks: Arkansas State Fair, Hay Rides, More

I’m thankful for the library. I just love the access to free books, kids programs, movies, and magazines.

I’m thankful for fun holidays like Halloween. I can’t wait to go Trick-or-Treating on Monday.

I’m thankful that there is a Dollar Day at the Arkansas State Fair. On Dollar Day the rides are just a dollar each and it only costs a dollar to get in. I love going to the fair, but it gets expensive fast. Most of the kid rides cost 3 tickets and the tickets are $1 each. If you go on a normal day that’s $3 per kid for just one ride. Dollar Day makes it very affordable to go to the fair.20161017_115355.jpg

Riding a real pony.
Milking a fake cow.

I’m thankful for 30 Rock on Netflix. I’ve been trying to watch more comdies on Netflix and I finished watching New Girl season 1-5 a few weeks ago. So I thought 30 Rock would be a good show to watch while doing laundry. I had seen a few episodes when it was on tv and I thought they were funny.

I’m thankful for days that I don’t have to leave my house.

I’m thankful for fall activities like hay rides. We went to Peebles Farm this week and went on a hay ride along a creek. There were so many turtles out in the water, but the best part was seeing a beaver out in the water. That was our first time seeing a beaver out in nature.

I’m thankful that we finally have matching dresses.

What are you thankful for this week?

It’s always good to find a way to keep the kids entertained. I like that picture with you and your daughter. It must be a good feeling to have matching dresses. You both look great. I am grateful for having employees that are not too hard to manage. Enjoy your weekend!!

Girl this is an awesome post. Thankfulness is grand. I am thankful for some of the very same things like HIllridge farm we just went to last week. Thankful for the days I actually do not have to leave my house ( which right now is never until somethings change) . You girls look awesome in your dresses.

Cassidy and I watch New Girl. It’s one of the few shows we both love. Long time now!
Happy Halloween to you! I can’t wait until tomorrow. The kids are so excited.

New Girl is so funny. I had to download the Fox App so I could keep up with this season. ๐Ÿ™‚

I havenโ€™t indulged in New Girl yet, did you know the main actress on New Girl and the leading actress on Bones are sisters? Once you see them side by side it kind of cool. Dollar days at the Fair sound like a life saver. Taking kids to a fair can be expensive fast. 30 Rock is hilarious; you will love it.

I read that in Redbook not too long ago that they were sisters.
I am loving 30 Rock. I have even been watching it while I cook dinner. ๐Ÿ™‚

The fair was a lot of fun for all of us.

Your gratitude posts always make me smile! You have such a beautiful family, Sonya. I’m hoping my family and I can get a hay ride at the local farm in before it gets too cool out. I too am thankful for the days I don’t have to leave the house. It feels so freeing to be able to share that, too.

New Girl is hilarious! I need to get caught up on the latest season. I hope Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt gets another season because I loved it also. I binge watched every episode in a few short days lol. What’s next on your to-watch list?

    • Reply Sonya November 2, 2016 at 5:23 pm

Thanks Drea!!! I hope you guys get your hay ride too before it gets too cold.
I started watching Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and I liked it. But I still need to finish the first season. I think that will be on my list of what to watch next. I’m also looking forward to watching Crown (I think that’s the name of the show) it’s about Queen Elizabeth. I love historical dramas. ๐Ÿ™‚ Yesterday I discovered Celia about the latin singer, Celia Cruz. The first episode was good, but it’s in Spanish. I can only watch this one when I have to sit down and read the subtitles.

The online books are great because you can get them on your phone or tablet. When my kids feel like reading something that we don’t have we often check the online books first.

The fair pictures are too cute. I love that you made matching dresses for you and your mini. Too cute. And everyone should write a thank you note to the library everyday. It’s one of those services I think we sometimes take for granted. Thank you, for sharing.

I agree about thank you notes to the library. We pay so little in taxes to support libraries, but the benefits are endless.

It’s one of the new books from the The Cat in the Hat series that they are making to go along with some of the cartoons that come on PBS.
