Gratitude & Thanks: Apple Picking, OITNB, & More

I’m thankful for getting a chance to go to Arkansas’s Farm2Home 2016 and for a chance to meet so many wonderful people, including P. Allen Smith.

I’m thankful for the Arkansas Women Bloggers group. It’s been great getting to know the other bloggers from Arkansas. Plus, I’ve been able to attend so many fun local events thanks to this group. Below is a picture of me and Amy who blogs at The Gifted Gabber (a cool fashion and lifestyle blog).

I’m thankful that a new season of Orange is the New Black is available on Netflix today. I’m going to try not to stay up too late tonight watching it.

I’m thankful that we went to visit my Grandmother last Friday. We thought we were going to get to pick some plums from her trees, but they aren’t producing much fruit. However, we did get a chance to pick some apples. I know it’s not apple season, but a branch from her apple tree fell down. So she told my kids to go pick those apples. They aren’t ripe, so I’ve had them in brown paper bags trying to get them ripe enough to make applesauce out of them.

I’m thankful for my family.

I’m thankful that I’m getting better at playing chess. I still haven’t won a game, but at least I’m starting to remember how each piece can move.

I’m thankful for unexpected gift codes for $25. I hadn’t bought anything from Zappos in years and this week they sent me a $25 gift code. I had been wanting a pair of wedge sandals so I ordered a pair and I only had to pay $14.99 after my gift code. The best thing is that it was free 1-day shipping so they should be here later today 🙂

Dirty Laundry DL Need You

I’m thankful that Summer Reading Club started this week. We have tye dyed shirts, participated in some cool science experiments, and went to a concert at the library this week. All for FREE, which is why I love Summer Reading Club.

I’m thankful for all the farmers who provide us with produce.

What are you thankful for?

I love meeting other bloggers. Unfortunately the scene here I Atlanta has become so cut throat few support one another.

I am thankful for our extremely laid back summer. We’re headed to Disney and will chill out the last few weeks before school is back in!

Super Mario Chess looks so awesome!
And the idea of apple picking before fall makes me happy.
Our strawberry bushes are quite full and while we were away, a few friends picked some for us. So we got to know our strawberries weren’t wasted, and they got free, organic, local strawberries. Everyone wins!

I am so thankful for the new season of OITNB as well, but it is so hard not to stay up late and watch the episodes.

Apple picking! How fun! That’s cool apple picking in summer. 🙂
I should see if there’s a local group of bloggers near me, that would be fun.
I do not know how to play chess, but I should learn. We purchased my husband a giant chess set for Father’s Day. 🙂
Wishing you a beautiful week, m’friend!!
