Currently March 2016

This year is moving right along and it’s already March. I’m excited that we are almost finished with winter weather and that Spring is right around the corner. I’m looking forward to doing a lot this month, so I thought I would share a currently post 🙂

Currently Celebrating

My little ones were both born in March and so were my Grandma and niece. So we will be celebrating all of their birthdays during March. Starting with this weekend, when we have a joint party for my daughter and Grandma who share the same birthday. My daughter will be turning 4 and my Grandma is turning 84.

Currently Making

I bought some fabric and a pillow a few weeks ago so I could try sewing my very first pillow covering. I found an easy pattern (you just measure and cut out three pieces) and I plan on sewing the cover this week. I’ll be sure to post pictures once I’m done.

Currently  Dreaming Of

I’m currently dreaming of sewing dresses and skirts for me and my daughter for the Spring and Summer. I still don’t know how to use the patterns that you buy at the store. So I want to learn how to use a pattern soon and try making an easy dress. I’m also dreaming of Spring Break. We are not going anywhere for Spring Break, but there are always special events around town during Spring Break that are fun to do with the kids.

Currently Reading

I have so many books checked out from the library right now. I’m currently, trying to multi-task and read a few at the same time. I’m reading Slim Clam Sexy Yoga: 210 Proven Yoga Moves for Mind/Body Bliss by Tara Stiles. I’m also reading You are a Bada**: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life by Jen Sincero. Slim Calm Sexy Yoga

Currently Watching

I’ve been watching Fuller House and I love it. I’m almost finished with the entire season 🙂 My husband and I were talking about how we are officially old, because we love everything that reminds us of our youth. We both are in love with Fuller House because we miss the days of TGIF. He’s hoping for a Family Matters remake, while I’m hoping for a Sister, Sister remake. I also started watching episodes of Treme on Amazon Prime recently. Plus, I’m still watching new episodes of Scandal on Thursday nights. Scandal is starting to get really good again. I can’t wait for the next new episode to see how Olivia reacts to Fitz dating someone else.

Currently Eating

I’m trying out a low fodmap diet to help out with my bloating. I can wake up with a relatively flat stomach and go to bed with an extremely bloated stomach. Clearly, it’s not an issue of exercising. I’ve been exercising and I can even see some ab muscles, but that still doesn’t stop me from experiencing a bloated belly. So, I’m finally trying to limit foods that are high in fodmaps (foods high in fodmaps may tend to cause gas and bloating in some people). Most of my favorite foods are either high or moderate fodmaps (apples. sweet potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, beans) So, far I’ve noticed that when I avoid the high fodmap items and limit the moderate ones I definitely feel less bloated at the end of the day.

Currently Listening To

I’m currently listening to podcasts via the Podcast Addict App. Right now the Joel Osteen podcast is my favorite.

What are you currently up to?

I think you know I am totally loving Fuller House here, too and oh and I am multi-tasking with my reading now, as well lately.

I find it hard to read just one book at a time. I usually have books all over the house and just pick one up when I see it and have the time to read it.

Yes!- if we could get a remake of all the TGIF lineup that would be great. My kids watch Girl Meets World, it’s cute. It’s not as good as Boy Meets World. 🙂
Happy Birthday Month to your family.

I want to start watching Girl Meets World after I finish Fuller House. Thanks for the birthday wishes 🙂

My kids want to watch Wonder Years. I told them it was a good show, but I’m not sure if they’re ready for that deep of a show. We’ll see…

I watched a few episodes of The Wonder Years a few weeks ago and it was deep. Right off the bat Winny’s brother dies from the war. His sister got on birth control. It’s definitely something you would have discussions about afterwards.

How is it already March? Happy birthday weekend to your adorable daughter and Grandma, Sonya. I hope you all have a wonderful party. I’ve been wanting to start yoga again. I’ll have to see if my library has that book. Thanks for the recommendation. And I’m absolutely loving Fuller House too! I’ve only made it through 2 episodes but I’m looking forward to binge watching the rest very soon :).

Thanks for the birthday wishes!!! We had a great time this weekend celebrating my daughter’s and grandma’s birthday. I absolutely love Tara Stiles. I love her yoga philosophy. Just breathe and the poses will come later. She has a YouTube channel with a ton of short yoga videos. I also have a few of her DVDs that I like a lot.

Yep, they are 80 years between them 🙂 They had a great time celebrating their birthdays over the weekend. I just forgot to get a picture of the both of them.

We are loving Fuller House over here, too! We’ve been watching them on Friday nights, just like it’s TGIF all over again.

Enjoyed reading your post! Hope you’re having a great week!

I couldn’t help but to watch the episodes back to back. Watching them on Friday night like it’s TGIF sounds like a great idea.
