Meals that Heal Inflammation: Embrace Healthy Living and Eliminate Pain One Meal at Time by Julie Daniluk

This is the book that I first read that started me on my clean eating journey three years ago. I had a really bad case of tendonitis and my husband happened to see this book at the library. He checked it out for me and I was blown away by how bad my diet really was. I considered myself a healthy eater at the time, but I was consuming a lot of inflammatory foods at the time. I loved that this book walks you through how to complete an elimination diet to determine what items are causing your inflammation that is causing health problems such as arthritis, heart disease, asthma, tendonitis, and more. I was amazed how fast my tendonitis started to improve when I began eliminating foods. I discovered that gluten and refined sugar were two of my big problems. Along with showing you how to complete an elimination diet this book also has recipes loaded with anti-inflammatory foods to help you to start feeling better.
Eat to Live by Joel Fuhrman
This book lays out a 6-week plan that will teach you how to eat a nutrient-rich diet, which can help lead to weight loss and an overall improvement in your health. There are also motivational stories included from people who have benefited from following the Eat to Live plan. This book is great for anyone who is looking to eat less meat while starting a clean eating journey. The primary focus of this diet is eating lots of veggies, fruits, beans, and nuts/seeds. Along with whole grains and limited fats.
This is a great read for women who are thinking about becoming a mom and for new moms. This book explains the benefits of a plant-based diet and highlights foods that are especially helpful for women during their childbearing years. This books also has some great recipes included in it too. Alicia Silverstone has another book, The Kind Diet: A Simple Guide to Feeling Great, Losing Weight, and Saving the Planet which is a great read for anyone wanting to learn more about the benefits of a vegan diet.
It Starts with Food: Discover the Whole 30 and Change Your Life in Unexpected Ways by Dallas and Melissa Hartwig
This book explains why you should eat a diet made up of whole foods and why you should stop eating processed foods. Written by the creators of the popular Whole 30 diet, which focuses on eating a whole foods Paleo diet (lots of fresh veggies, meat, some fruits, but no grains, beans, processed foods) for 30 days.
The Blood Sugar Solution by Mark Hyman MD
If you are diabetic or pre-diabetic this is a great book to that teaches you how to eat to get your blood sugar to a healthy level. You will learn the important role of how fiber can help you to balance your blood sugar. Plus, you will learn why you should eliminate processed foods, refined sugars, and bad fats and learn to nourish your body with healthy foods. This book includes a few recipes at the end of the book to help you get started but there is also a separate book called The Blood Sugar Solution Cookbook that has a ton of recipes.

She has two and they are both really good. I learned about some new foods that are really beneficial from her books. I actually, need to go to Whole Foods and see if they are in season.
I definitely do not eat as well as I should. I need to read a couple of these books for sure.
I always get inspired to eat a little better when I learn how beneficial good for is for my body.
I never knew what clean eating was. I need to check-in do it myself because I do have a lot of stomach issues.
There are definitely ways to help your stomach issues by changing your diet. Meals that Heal Inflammation would be a good for for you.

These books sound amazing. I might have to try the book about inflammation. I have fibro. I have been tested for inflammation and it’s been in the normal range. I’m sure eating clean can have multiple benefits.
